Aubrey at Nine Months - The Whirlwind is Just Beginning

Here are Aubrey's nine-month stats:

  • Weight: 20lbs, 15 oz
  • Height: 26 inches
  • Attitude: Large
  • Personality: Even Larger
  • Accomplishments and regular occurances:
    • Used to play patty cake with quite a lot of vigor; has since given it up to conquer other tasks
    • Crawls with gusto and can be VERY sneaky (now you see her, now you don't)
    • Cruises around anything she can gets her hands on
    • Can stand unaided for a few seconds at a time, but only does this rarely
    • Walks/runs behind an activity walker with her mouth wide open, as though she is in shock that she is so good at this
    • Used to clap her hands to get others to applaud her, then clapped hands when amused, now rarely claps hands
    • Sleeps from 7:30-8:30 p.m. to 6-6:30 a.m., usually without interruption (thank you, Jesus, for this precious gift!)
    • Has started self-feeding meals to herself, instead of just puffs and other snacks
    • Likes most foods; isn't fond of green veggies but will eat them, loves fruits, crackers, Cheerios, cheese, yogart, and still LOVES guacamole
    • Finally, at nine months and one day, has a tooth showing through her bottom gum
    • Laughs when she thinks somethings funny, stares at you like you eat worms when she doesn't
    • Still ignores Dustin like it is a game
    • Is mimicking words: Bones (the dog) - bow, Ball - bah, Blue - boo, Puppy - puh puh, Moo (my mom) Mmmmm, Big Pop (my dad) - buh buh
    • Knows exactly who Ma Ma is, but has stopped saying Da Da for the most part
    • Scream "me, me, me" when she is mad
    • Stops my heart with her wrinked-nose smile
    • Is trying to hug and kiss (but only when she wants to)
    • Still isn't fussy about strangers, but clings to me more than she used to when someone is trying to take her from me
    • Has been to the nursery in church a few times, and starts going to a small day care group one day a week this week
    • Is SUCH a happy baby and is playing well with other babies and kids (who she thinks are really funny!)
    • Likes practicing different motions with her fingers (she gang signs in Exhibit 3 below)
