Monkey See, Monkey Do/Repeat

Our sweet girl will be 15 months this week, and she surprises us each day with how smart she is.  Dustin and I haven't really been around babies much, so we are shocked at how quickly she picks things up.  She started repeating everything this week...and I mean everything.

She has so many words, but I'll list some of my favorites:

Purple - she can say it and knows what color it is
Toothbrush - when I ask "do you want to brush your teeth?", toothbrush is always her response
Tee-tee
Poopy - she has started telling us when she has made poopy
Puppy - sometimes she says that the puppy says "arf" which sounds like "arche", and sometimes she says that the puppy says "cookie".  That may be because she and Bones always get an animal cookie after dinner.
Quack - "qua" (she can tell us what the duck, puppy, monkey, and sheep say, but she will not say "meow" for the kitty cat)
Kitty cat - "ki cat"
Guitar - she started repeating it clear as a bell this evening
Bible - also started repeating this one tonight
Bones - has gone from "boh" to "bones"
Outside - has gone from "outs" to "outside"
Bye-bye - sometimes "bye-bye", sometimes "gooooodbye"
Bath - "bash"
Foreclosure - Dustin jokingly asked her to say foreclosure the other day, and she tried!  "for-cose-u"

She will name all of the people in the pictures on our walls. 
She has learned that not all dogs are named "Bones". 
She will now sit and look at a book for a length of time.  She wants me to read it to her, then she'll read it to me. 
She can name eyes, nose, mouth and ears and point to those parts on others.  She can only point to her own nose, and only when she wants to. 
She can follow the command to go put something in the trash.  She'll say "dat trash" when she takes it. 
She can follow the command to go put something in her dirty clothes. 
She can follow the command to put something away. 
She says please and thank you, sometimes without being prompted. 
She always offers to share her food, although it may be pre-chewed when you get it. 
Today she asked for and finished "juice" for the first time, which is good because it is a full serving of fruits and veggies, and she will NOT eat veggies.
She's learning to blow her nose, and wants to help you blow yours too.
Sometimes when she sees water on the floor, she'll get a towel out of the drawer in the kitchen and work diligently at cleaning it up.
She occasionally has an attitude problem that makes me wonder how quickly the terrible twos will arrive.
She makes us laugh everyday.

In short, she's perfect.  But ask me about that again in 12-15 years.
